The
biodiversity found in the oceans of planet Earth represent one of the most
beautiful displays of color and life that we have the pleasure of viewing.
Yet, the world's coral reefs are under attack from pollution and many other
environmental hazards. Yet, there is still hope in what seems a bleak
picture. Many aquarists around the world are raising
"tank-raised" corals in their reef tanks that are now being used to
replenish native stocks around the world. And, aquarists and wholesale
suppliers are even beginning the process of producing "tank-raised" clownfish,
Banggai Cardinalfish,
and other species which will lessen the impact of our hobby on the natural
environment. This page is my attempt to relate the joys of the
reef-keeping hobby and highlight the importance of using our hobby as an
educational tool in each of our communities. This page includes links to marine and freshwater aquarium
sites around the world wide web. If you have a link that you would like
included please feel free to e-mail me at
[email protected].
